Meanwhile, I bring you 5 examples of “verb + preposition” that you can use in your everyday conversation.

Let’s go !

– Apologize for

To tell someone that you are sorry for having done something that has caused problems or unhappiness for them

Ex: He apologized profusely for having to leave at 5:30 p.m.

– Succeed in

To achieve something that you have been aiming for

Ex: You need to be pretty tough to succeed in the fashion world, it’s such a competitive industry.

– Approve of

To agree with or support someone or something.

Ex: I don’t approve of what you have done, it’s bad.

– Believe in

to think that someone or something exists

Ex: I’m beginning to think you actually believe in ghosts!

– Insist on

To continue something, or to continue to do something

Ex: Why do you insist on leaving your gadgets all over the floor?
